One thing that can be said about thread killers of the 3976th 1/2 is that they were certainly an unruly and offbeat bunch, and often times they went to extremes in whatever crazy and zany scheme they had cooked up, and that's exactly the kind of hijinx the gang are up in what many consider to be the series' best episode in this week's Summer of TKO presentation of "Private Lies":

Really people? We're 3/4 of the way through this event and none of you even care? None of you? What happened? You liked TKO back when it was on, now you don't care that it's celebrating it's 10th anniversary this year? I've been wrecking my brain trying to select a "best of" episode for each week this summer. Talk about ungrateful.

Many a business can promise professional growth, but in an organization like TKO, sometimes that professional growth could be hard to come by, but in the four years that the 3976th 1/2 was operating, almost every thread killer in the unit saw a promotion of some kind, as you will see in this week's Summer of TKO presentation of "Promotion Commotion:"

TKO has been a hosted to a number of Muppet guest appearances during its four-year run, but it isn't just those furry and fleecy funsters that the thread killers of the 3976th 1/2 were fond of, they also had a deep affection for the Muppet performers as well. Perhaps a little too deep, as you will see in this week's Summer of TKO presentation of "The Initial Problem":

When it came time for TKO to celebrate its 50th episode, the most logical thing to do was to indulge in a fully self-absorbed story that not only brought in a slew of celebrity guest stars -namely, the villains from all the Muppet movies- but to also recall all of the past special Muppet guest appearances, as well as bring all of the show's various recurring characters together in one episode, as the thread killers and the Muppet movie villains go balls deeps in this all-out blitzkrieg of laughs, mayhem, and more of Beauregard's Custodian's Surprise in this week's Summer of TKO presentation of "Ball of Revenge":

TKO wasn't known just for its humor, it was also known for its heart, and although the show took the time to address heavier topics and issues, never before had the show delved into a really touchy and serious issue, resulting in a WHAM Episode that's considered to be a real gem of the series, which you're about to see in this week's Summer of TKO presentation of "Father Knows Best":

Well, I guess this proves one thing: TKO has certainly not stood the test of time. From 2005 to 2008, it was a smash here on MC for four consecutive seasons, but apparently somewhere between then and 2015, it's somehow lost something - I don't know what that something is, but it's lost. All summer long, nobody has given a hoot that it was the 10th anniversary; each week, nobody's relived any of what were considered to be the series' best episodes. I guess maybe the series hasn't aged very well, or it's been so long that any interest has worn off, I don't know.

Well, thank you for not joining us, we're glad that you didn't enjoy the celebration, and we hope we won't see you again some other time.
