Bruce Willis to star in Broadway adaption of Misery

Uh...what?!

Bruce Willis...

starring in a Broadway adaption...

of Misery!

Just... what?!?

Of course it doesn't say it's a musical, so it could very well just be a play but...

Bruce freaking Willis... starring in a Broadway version of Misery.

I'm at a loss of words, here.

If Misery will be a musical, then it's bound to be even sillier than when Family Guy parodied it. :stick_out_tongue:

The article didn't specify musical or play, so it could very well be the case.

It seems that every piece of news in just the heading is a what?!

Bruce Willis on Broadway? What?!

Broadway version of Misery? What?!

Alone, powerfully weird news, but together, and this is the best way I can sum it up...

Why. Out of all of King's novels, are they making a play based on Misery?
I guess cause it's grounded in reality and would be easy to adapt into a play?

I'm kind of surprised Bruce Willis is doing a play because it would require him to actually give an effort.

At least he knows what a TV Dinner feels like. That's got to count for something.

I'd say you answered your own question, but that's what it seems like to me. I could also see Stand by Me, maybe Shawshank Redemption, both with heavy alteration to make them work on stage. HEY! All ones they parodied on Family Guy that one time. "It: the Musical" would just be... to stupid to even be campy.

A theatrical adaptation of Misery has been around for many years. It's a straight play, no songs.

Thank Glob for that. I had a feeling it was a play, because a musical would... ah, who am I kidding? With so many just baffling musical adaptions of movies that keep getting cranked out, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was. And not even the kind you'd think, either. Something that's so dark and brooding that it's more insane than if it were a comedy. I don't know if the world is better off with or without a number asking the musical question "How did he get out of the cockadoodie car?"

Still... Bruce Willis?

WO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-OT?!
