The golden age of music just lost another one of its unique icon, in this case, Paul Revere of Paul Revere and the Raiders; he died yesterday, and although there's currently no official cause of death to be determined, he had been battling cancer for a while.

I think two of my favorite songs of theirs are "Kicks" and "Good Thing," preferably the rarer stereo versions of both (there's not much noticeable differences between the original mono version of "Kicks," but the stereo version of "Good Thing" is way more rockin'); IIRC, I think I wrote the Electric Mayhem performing "Good Thing" in my Jamie Farr TMS outline years ago.

"Kicks", " Just Like Me", "Hungry", " Let Me", the hits kept coming. In spite of the corny Revolutionary War costumes, the Raiders were a decent garage band. Thanks for the tunes, Paul.

It may have been corny, but I liked that about them, it really made them stand out and set them apart from other acts.

I never heard of him, but rest in peace anyway Mr. Revere.
