    RIP Muppet Show Guests

And now I feel old because I actually remember watching his show. (Granted, I think what I remember was the PBS re-edits after the initial network run ended, because I was barely four years old when the initial network run ended, but still...)

    RIP Muppet Show Guests

Muppet Wiki has a list here: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Muppet_Show_guest_stars_who_are_living And for the opposite list: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Muppet_Show_guest_stars_who_have_died And on a related note (this list includes cameos as well as headliners)...

    RIP Muppet Show Guests

Sources are now reporting that sportscaster, businesswoman, and Miss America Phyllis George has died. With this passing comes a sad milestone: if I'm counting correctly, this means that half the celebrity guests on the Muppet Show are now deceased.

Segments acceptable in 70s/80s, but now no longer the case

It was ruled a few years ago that the copyright only applied to a specific arrangement, and that the lyrics and melody are public domain (and should have been for some time).

Sesame Street Special "Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration"

One of the subtler jokes that I really enjoyed: Listen closely to Super Grover's fanfare when Rosita asks her question.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4913 - The Big Pretend Band

Did anyone else think Bert's voice sounded more suited to a pretend trumpet?

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Looks like the sign went missing so they could bling it out.

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Makes me suspect that was a joke. I wonder if the fact that the real-life New York City has been gradually replacing its uppercase street signs with lowercase ones over the past decade will come into play here.

Bananana (do doo do do do).

The Muppets in Wreck-It Ralph sequel?

Just as well. I've always found "Tea Lizard" to be a bit out-of-character anyway. ("Tea Lizard" seems to have an attitude of "not my monkeys, not my circus." Kermit, on the other hand, while not a tight controller, feels that at the end of the day they are his monkeys and his circus.)

Which old Sesame Street Characters could return for Season 50?

What were in my childhood the first-tier Muppets (Big Bird, Oscar, Bert, Ernie, Grover, Cookie Monster, and to a lesser degree Telly, Elmo, Snuffy, and the Count) are all still with the show (save Kermit, now separately owned). So an appearance by the then-second-tier Muppets (Herry, Guy Smiley...

    Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld has announced a Sesame-Street themed land coming to its Orlando park, as seen at this address: https://insidethemagic.net/2018/05/seaworld-orlando-announces-new-sesame-street-themed-land/ I wonder how close the concept art is to what the final layout will be...

Noticeable Changes to the set over the years

If I had to guess, I would guess that it the colorless panes would allow the characters to stand out more, rather than the focus being on the scenery itself.
